To second these lines we have the growth story of Gleeden whose community has grown to 2.8M Indian users out of which 7,40,000 users were added just in 2023. This was an astonishing 383% user growth when compared to last year for Gleeden.

The paradigm shift in Indian society can also be witnessed with the increase of +128% in the women users base of Gleeden in 2023 when compared to the same time period of last year. To further get into the facts, the extramarital dating app conducted a pan-India survey with 1500+ users from Tier-1 & 2 Indian cities and the results were mind boggling.

Few Dating Trends that came out prominently from the survey are briefed below for your kind reference:

Closeness and ardour

It was revealed that close proximity has a significant impact on covert operations. Surprisingly, 28% of men and 27% of women prefer to find a paramour in their community, which increases the convenience of physical closeness. Mumbai (40%), Kolkata (35%), Kochi (14%), Hyderabad (22%) and Kolkata (35%), became the centres of activity for 25- to 35-year-olds in terms of local connections.

Taking Off Without Limits

Close-by towns or cities were the backdrop for covert meetings for those who were uncomfortable with local entanglements. The statistics showed that, in order to build relationships without having to worry about travel, 21% of men and 15% of women look for companions outside of their city. In terms of this trend, Bangalore (19%), Delhi (25%), and Kolkata (18%) stood out.

Disappearing in the City Bustle

Gleeden’s survey revealed a preference for conducting business in large, anonymous metropolises. Delhi (10%), Bangalore (16%), and Kolkata (12%) emerged as the top discretionary locations, with only 11% of male users engaging in this activity.

Digital Dalliances

In the era of digital technology, prudence is key. 17% of men and 15% of women prefer internet liaisons, which can be used as a cover for adultery. The cities of Bangalore (15%), Mumbai (12%), and Kolkata (26%) all demonstrated a preference for online flirtations.

Different Goals

Gleeden shows up as a haven for a variety of needs, including making new friends, looking for company, and developing existing ones. Unwaveringly, 34% of men and 42% of women swear allegiance to loyalty, with 51% in Bangalore, 27% in Mumbai, and 53% in Hyderabad pledging allegiance.

The essence is summed up by Sybil Shiddell, Country Manager for Gleeden in India “Gleeden is a private and safe haven for individuals navigating the perilous terrain of adultery in a realm where the boundless expanse of possibility and the complex mechanisms of human desire converge. This is when the complexity of adultery shows up, giving Gleeden players a lot of choices to explore their most instinctual desires. These users’ prospective routes could be as varied as the web of interpersonal ties if given the chance. The embrace of a friend from their own town or city can be consoling for certain people; it can be a discreet friendship that quietly permeates everyday life.Others may attempt to venture farther afield by visiting neighbouring cities or towns, where mystery encourages exploration and adventure.”

Gleeden observes the flexibility of human ties in a society where the bounds of love are always being renegotiated. The 2023 disclosures call for a closer examination of desires and how to strike a careful balance between loyalty and longing.
