Whether it\u2019s Fifa, Call of Duty, Fortnite or Super Mario, video games are an inherent part of life for many of us. So much so that some people are even addicted to them. But did you know that spending too much time in front of your screen could put your relationship in jeopardy? According to Gleeden\u2019s* latest study, 61% of women believe that their partner\u2019s habit of spending excessive amounts of time playing video games pushed them in someone else\u2019s arms.<\/b><\/span><\/h3>\n

 <\/p>\n

Held every year in April, the London Games Festival is the greatest event in London for all joystick lovers. Approximately 65,000 people attended the festival, which featured events in 20 different locations around the English capital. <\/span>The UK is the 5th largest video game market in the world<\/span><\/a>, with nearly 33 million players. However, check your stereotypes, video games are not only for nerdy teenagers: the average age for gamers is 34 years old!<\/span><\/p>\n

Seems like a harmless pass-time, right? However, when the pass-time becomes more time-consuming than a full-time job, it can worse than a blue shell in Mario Kart for relationships.<\/span> <\/span>As reported by Divorce Online<\/span><\/a>, Fortnite has even cited approximately 200 times in divorce petitions as a reason for the separation in the UK!<\/span><\/p>\n

While some prefer to leave their partner for good, others prefer indulging in different games. Gleeden\u2019s latest study conducted on over 6,000 of their female members has shown that 61% of these women believe that their partner\u2019s habit of spending excessive amounts of time playing video games is what pushed them in someone else\u2019s arms. <\/span><\/p>\n

And they can certainly be understood: 82% of them have a partner who plays video games regularly and for \u00a029% of them, it\u2019s a daily habit!<\/span><\/p>\n

The situation can quickly become tense, 69% of them admitted that they have gotten into arguments with their significant other because of their gaming habits, and half of them even fight about frequently (56%).<\/span><\/p>\n

No doubt in sight, some of people should step away from their keyboards and screens if don\u2019t want their partner to go play somewhere else!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
