Gleeden, the extramarital dating app conducted a survey to understand how people are navigating sultry diversions on Valentine’s Day

This Valentine’s Day reveals a digital tapestry woven with complexity in the dynamic world of modern relationships, where the dance of love combines with technological algorithms. The focus of attention moves from the typical romantic symphony to the digital platform of Gleeden, an app for dating outside of marriage that has evolved into a sophisticated canvas for nontraditional love tales. Gleeden, the extramarital dating app conducted a survey of 1000 users, the survey was conducted from 25th January 2024 to 5th February 2024 and unexpectedly, 32% of Gleeden users are navigating sultry diversions on Valentine’s Day as Cupid’s arrows take flight.

In a society where clicking and swiping have taken on a ballet of their own, the idea of faithfulness is being reinvented. The beautiful mosaic of love is reflected in a compelling way by Gleeden’s statistics. This statistic is a window into the thoughts and emotions of people who are looking for connection outside of the parameters of conventional commitment, not merely a random number.

“We peel back the layers of a story that subverts stereotypes about Valentine’s Day as we explore the depths of this digital romantic maze. The survey clearly showcases the unexplored areas where emotions, desires, and technology converge, going beyond the clichés of roses and romantic dinners. It’s important to look into the  unplanned chapters of contemporary love, as 32% of Gleeden users go on seductive side trips and reshape Valentine’s Day in the swipe lane.” says Sybil Shiddell, Country Manager India, Gleeden

Neglected Love

33% of users report a painful lack of attention from their existing spouses. This implies that even among the roses and chocolates, a significant portion of people are feeling abandoned and are looking for other ways to be loved.

Affectionate Straying

Remarkably, 38% of users confess to having romantic feelings for someone other than their current relationship, a phenomenon known as “affectionate straying.” People seem to be moving away from their long-term relationships due to the attraction of virtual connections, which is leading to an unusual Valentine’s Day celebration.

Heartstrings for Another

An interesting figure of 34% of Gleeden users acknowledge that they have grown emotionally attached to someone besides their partner. These feelings indicate a deeper, more complex network of interactions that transcends the limitations of conventional commitment, going beyond simple physical desire.

Willingness to Cross Boundaries

Of all the statistics, the one that may surprise you the most is the 33% of users who say they would be willing to have an intimate relationship with someone other than their current spouse. This demonstrates how beliefs about fidelity are changing in society and how digital platforms offer a way to explore new love horizons.

The responsibilities of contemporary life frequently leave little time for preserving a relationship’s flame. According to Gleeden’s analytics, a considerable proportion of users utilise the site in an attempt to get the attention and connection they might be missing from their existing relationships. There are many temptations at one’s fingertips in the digital age. It can be a desirable option for individuals looking for love outside of their primary partnerships due to its privacy and convenience. The survey suggests that people’s perceptions of commitment are changing. More and more people are willing to go beyond conventional monogamous partnerships and explore emotional and physical ties.
